Charles Towe is an assistant research professor at the Center and also holds an assistant professorship in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. His fields of interest include behavioral economics, housing policy, environmental economics and policy, and the economics of land use and land conversion decisions. He has a publication history in top academic journals and field journals including Econometrica and the American Journal of Agricultural Economics. Charles is an environmental economist who earned his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland in Agricultural and Resource Economics. He also holds a degree in Economics from Tufts University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
